SO, that day has come when i finally finished year 12! THAT FEELING of walking out of your last exam is so... SOOO.. it cannot be described by words even, it was the biggest feeling of relief, like a massive rock has been lifted off my body.

NO MORE WAKING EARLY ANYMORE!! 

I can finally sleep in til whenever i like, watch drama, you-tube and dota to my hearts content without feeling guilty! But it also feels like my life is 'over'. You know that feeling you get after you finish watching a drama? Yeah. Its that same feeling. That 'what do I do now' feeling.

Review: Too Faced Pretty Rebel Palette

The Too Faced Pretty Rebel palette, part of the Fall 2013 collection has the most sexiest packaging I've ever seen. It caught my eye as soon as i walked in Mecca and once i picked it up it's like BAM. nuff said, it's coming home with me ;) It looks so punk yet girly at the same time cos of the pink. It has a magnetic closure which is my personal favourite and feels sturdy.

It contains 10 shades which include matte, satin, metallic and shimmer. It comes with a large mirror also YAYYY! The texture of the shadows are smooth but nothing to die for. The names of these shadows are pretty cool though, it makes me feel like such a badasss. Just me? 

It feels like too faced has added a little something to their ingredients for eyeshadows or some shit. These are like smoother, more opaque and feel/look too good for them (no offense here). THIS IS A COMPLIMENT OKAY.

Moving on...

The shades are extremely EXTREMELY pigmented. i was actually intimidated a bit when i swatched them because they were THAT rich in colour. On the left there is a quad of neutrals that i always end up using, and the rest of the 6 are WOW in your face colours. It's defenitely a good palette for peeps that want to start experimenting with colour. There really is nothing negative about this palette, besides the fact that the matte brown feels sorta dry and chalky when swatched, but all matte's are like that so it doesn't count?

The palette also comes with a usual guide thing for ideas and inspiration :)

Review of the shades:

Dainty - a matte pale pink beige that's used for highlight/blending/taking down excess shimmer. Not a bad shade to have around. It feels extremely buttery and smooth when swatched

Charming - The darkest brown of the palette. It's warm and also has a matte finish. Wouldn't recommend picking up a lot of product at once with this as it seems to have fallout.

Girly - OHMYFKENGOD. The most BEAUTIFULL duo chrome shade. It's so fantastic. Feels so smoooth and silky. It's a warm brownish metallic satin shade with a green duo chrome and a hint of copper. A dupe for MAC's club.

Totally Fetch - An intense bright fuchsia that has cool undertones. There is a satin finish to this and the colour payoff isn't as intense as the rest of the shadows but still nice :3

Miss Sparkles - an epic shimmery black. When i saw this i was like 'this better not be chunky' ANDD its not. It looks so beautiful when you move but i realised that the silver 'sparkle' fades after a while. The texture is slightly powdery which isn't completely a bad thing since it'll be easier to blend out and GIRLL, blacks need to be blended ok.

Ringleader - A warm medium peach shade. Super buttery and smooth with a pearly finish. Needless to say, the colour payoff is fantastic.

Gangsta - My favourite out of the neutrals in this palette. its a warm bronze with copper undertones and is absolutely beautiful for a neutral. It's buttery and pigmented and I wear it alone even cos its that nice.

Instigator - Do you have a favourite gold shadow already? Well, if you do, that's about to change. When i swatched this it was like I've never seen a gold shadow in my whole life. ITS FRIGGEN AMAZING. It swatches the most smoothest and most even and most prettiest. It's more of a yellow-y gold that's so shiny and has a metallic finish.

Badass - I LOVE THIS. It's a medium navy colour blue that's so shimmery. To add to the shimmery-ness it has a metallic finish giving extra shine. It's a build-able colour with silver sparkles.

Jailbird - I've never seen such a metallic silver in my whole life. It's a cool tone shade that's epic pigmented. One word. Incredible.

This palette is a must have for EVERYONE. The shadows are all breathtaking and feel so smooth. If your a noob, pro, hoarder, don't really give two shits bout makeup. STILL GEDDIT K?! can thank me later ;) xoxoxoxoxoxo

Review: Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadow 8.0 The Power Neutrals

Howdy! Today's review will be on this gorgeous looking palette from bare minerals. Honestly, i only got it cos of the packaging.. WHO CAN RESIST GOLD. It's a limited edition so if you want it, better hurry ;) It retails for $49.95 at Mecca.

It contains 8 eyeshadows, 5 matte and 3 shimmery shadows, all neutral. Since it's part of the Ready line they're suppose to have 12 hour wear and be rich in colour.

The palette itself is pretty slim, pretty.. and you know, pretty. It comes with a pretty big mirror and a double ended shadow brush. One end is like an average flat shader brush and the other is like a mini pencil brush. Tbh, most of the time i don't care for the brushes or applicators that come with palettes, but this one is pretty useful. They work pretty well and are soft.

The shadows ARE long lasting but don't last for 12 hours. I wore it without a primer and they lasted about 5 hours before they started to fade on me. With a primer, they'll definitely last longer! They don't crease at all and the formula is absolutely F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S. The texture is very smooth and velvet like, almost like a cream. They all blend so nicely besides Boardroom which is the darkest shade in the palette. The darker shadows seem to be less saturated and come out a bit powdery, however, it doesn't leave a chalky look on the eyes so no worries amigo. Gotta be careful though, and not take a lot of product at a time, or else they could be harder to harder to blend and have fallout.

Boss Lady - Okay, the website says "shimmery bronze" but wtf, where did the bronze come from? It's like a shimmery light beige with warm undertones. It had good colour payoff and is so smooth and silky.

Moneymaker - An olive shade that looks pretty dull and comes off a bit brown. It's a matte shade that can be powdery if you use too much at once.

Schmooze - This is my favourite from the bunch even though it isn't unique. THIS is the most smoothest, creamiest, easy to glide shadow EVERRRR. FEELS LIKE BUTTER. It's a medium bronze that has goldish shimmers in it and it's SO pigmented.

Boardroom - The darkest shadow of the lot. 101% matte and i find it to be a bit blotchy when swatched. It's like a dark chocolate deep brown shade. There's nothing special about it, it's definitely pigmented but doesn't have the same nice feel as the others, it's not even soft!! :(

Exec - A greyish taupe that has a beautiful satin finish with a hint of shimmer. The pigmentation is good and it feels soft and silky.

Payday - It looks like a pale green at first but when swatched, it comes out like a pale grey. It has a slight satin finish but not really, so it's mostly matte. It's smooth and velvety which feels so nice.

Magnate - It's a nude paechy beige which is matte and can look a bit powdery if you apply too much. Like most of them, it also has a smooth texture.

Get Ahead - A medium darkish brown taupe shade that's completely matte. It feels nice when you swirl your finger in there (that's what she said) but when you swatch it, it kinda feels dry and blotchy. However, it has good colour payoff and is 'workable'.


Honestly, the 12 hours is pretty bullshit but its okay, who wears makeup for 12 hours anyways. This palette isn't a must have since the shadows are pretty average and most can be found elsewhere. The only thing that did it for me was the texture of them. HOWEVER. If you are a guilty hoarder or enjoy nice packaging, definitely grab it since the gold will make you happy.

July Favourites

Maybelline Lashionista mascara - THE BEST lengthening mascara I've come across that isn't waterproof. I hate waterproof mascara's with a passion cos i have to spend so long trying to remove it. Also cool thing is it contains fibers which are interesting to look at and i love the brush applicator thing. It's so thin which are perfect for my short stubby Asian lashes. However, this mascara doesn't offer any volume but that doesn't bother me.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo #70 Barely Branded - My favourite shade out of the whole line of Colour Tattoo's. It's so wearable and perfect for everyday.

Rimmel Kate  #111 Kiss of Life - This lipstick is matte and lasts foreverrrr! The red is a tad darker than normal red's which is nice since it makes my complexion look brighter.

Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette - One word, PERFECTION. After this palette came into my life, i don't even touch any other eyeshadows anymore. This is the shit for creating anything from simple everyday look to a seducing smoked out look. Cannot even explain in words my love for this.

Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream #N02 - This has replaced all my other face base makeup products. I don't even want to try something different now because it's just so awesome. Lasts all day. Doesn't get oily. Decent coverage. Doesn't feel greasy. What else can you ask for? The only shit thing is it accentuates dry patches but almost all BB creams do.

House of Lashes Pixie Luxe - If you like full wispy better then everyday lashes. You need this in your life. It changes a look from average to DAYUUUUM. I reach for this each time i want my eyes to pop.

NYX Matte Lip Cream Buenos Aires - For some reason, Coral lips and I just aren't a good match no matter how much I love them. HOWEVER.. This is different. It's such a nice subtle not too bright coral and suits my complexion perfectly.

Bourjois Correcting Concealer - I've always been scared to cover up my blemishes since I believe that it makes it worse.. but i was breaking out so much and didn't feel like layering 10 layers product on my face so I got this and HELLOOOOOOO!~ It doesn't make my pimples worse or fade away during the day and covered the way i wanted it to.

Soap & Glory Hand Food Hand Cream - I only got this because it was marshmallow scented, like how often do you see that around. After using it I was like completely shocked at how GOOD it made my hands feel. They feel so soft, smooth and NON-GREASY. Replaced my Jurlique hand cream fo sho.

Batiste Dry Shampoo - I have super oily hair. When I say oily, I mean OILY. I don't like the idea of washing my hair everyday either so I decided to invested in a dry shampoo (not really it was $10). Anywho, it does the job. doesn't smell that bad and gives my hair volume.

Marc Jacobs Oh, Lola Limited Ed Eau de Perfume - Happiness in a bottle. Nothing less. SMELLS PERFECT. Smells so fresh and floral-y and nice and.. just good. As you can tell i'm horrible at describing scents BUT GO SMELL IT YOURSELF. I'm so sad that it's limited edition, means I won't want to use it in case it runs out lol. but just get it.
